I went to go see Beautiful Creatures last night and I have to say it is now probably my favorite movie ever. And I’m well aware those who see this and have read the books will probably wonder why I would be saying this when so much was changed from the books. But I think the reason why I loved the movie so much was just the freshness of the whole movie. I was so enchanted by the acting of these lesser known actors who played their parts so well, it honestly rivals most of the well known actors we see nowadays. Additionally, the story was so different and wonderful I found myself catching every little detail as the movie progressed, which is something that doesn’t always happen with a lot of the stuff that has been pushed out of Hollywood lately.
I just found the whole movie to be wonderfully put together and while a lot of the details of the actual story were changed, I understood that this movie was an interpretation of the original story which was necessary to be able to even make the movie in the first place. And it was a damn good interpretation too! I just really loved this movie.
